Dear Dain,
Today we went swimming. It wasn't our first time, but we had the most fun today that we've ever had! You kicked and splashed and pretended you were a Dainasaur, roaring and squealing with delight whenever you splashed or a 'big kid' came by and said hi to you. I so enjoy watching you when you're having so much fun!
We also went to the library today. You really like going into the Children's Room and seeing all of the other children enjoying their books. We checked out some books and CDs, as we do every week, three of which were Curious George - your current favorite. :) Mommy tries to read to you everyday while you're jumping in your jumperoo...that is after we've watched an episode or two of Curious George! You love the colors in the picture books and when Mommy makes silly voices or sounds when she reads. I love that you enjoy books so much and you're only 6 months old!
Right now you're sleeping peacefully in your crib...I guess Mommy wore you out because you don't normally nap this long during the week! I'm glad you're enjoying your nap and I look forward to playing and reading our new library books when you wake up!
Sweet boy, this summer is going by WAY TOO FAST! Mommy only has a few more weeks until she has to go back to work. I'm not looking forward to leaving you at all. I've enjoyed being able to spend every day with you watching you learn and grow right before my eyes. You amaze me everyday with your curiosity and love for the world around you. And the way you soak up every little bit of new knowledge like a sponge- Everyday you seem to learn something new or learn to do something all on your own! It's amazing to me! I've taught kids for 7 years now and I've watched students make years worth of progress in one year. I never thought their progress would be so dwarfed as it has been by you! The amount that you have learned to do in six months blows my mind! You're so smart!
Well, you're waking up now, so I have to go. I love you sweet angel!
